In order for the IBC to issue approval for work, the laboratory where the work will be performed must be compliant in the following:

	BSL-1	BSL-2
Lab Inspection Requirements Contact Environmental, Health, Safety, Risk and Emergency Management(EHSREM) for the inspection process.	A satisfactory biosafety inspection performed by EHSREM within the past 12 months.
Training Requirement Required - All individuals working on a research project Not required-students enrolled in instructional lab courses Valid for 3 years	Option1- Contact BSO to sign up for CANVAS CANVAS Lab Safety Training site. General Biosafety module OR Option 2- Self set up on CITI Collaborative training Biosafety/Biosecurity module	Contact BSO to sign up for CANVAS CANVAS Lab Safety Training site. Protocols with human or non-human primate blood, fluids, cells or tissue cultures Valid for 1 year	Contact BSO to sign up for CANVAS CANVAS Lab Safety Training site. Bloodborne Pathogen training
