- Protect Texas State's Intellectual Property (IP) and ensure Texas State is in compliance with federal regulations
- Market and license University innovations and IP
- Draft and negotiate agreements (MTA, CDA, IIA, License, etc.)
- Support regional, state, and national economic development
- Promote new and existing industry/government relationships
- Consult with sponsored research on IP aspects of contracts
- Educate the campus community about IP and the tech-transfer process
