The Doctoral Research Assistant Tuition Incentive Program aims to increase the number of doctoral students at Texas State University and encourage faculty to include doctoral research assistant tuition when writing external grant proposals.
Eligibility
- Doctoral students must be appointed as research assistants with a minimum stipend/salary of $30K/year funded by external grants. This stipend is subject to annual review for increase.
- The Division of Research will cover up to 21 credits of tuition for the academic year (9 in Fall, 9 in Spring, and 3 in the Summer).
- Fees and insurance are not covered.
Process
The Office of Sponsored Programs will coordinate the allotted tuition adjustment through Student Business Service.
