Public Posting of Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) Rosters

Effective June 1, 2025, Texas State University complies with the requirements outlined in NIH Notice NOT-OD-25-082 regarding transparency and public access to Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) information.

As part of these requirements, the NIH Office of Science Policy (OSP) publicly posts rosters of all active IBCs registered through the IBC Registration Management System (RMS).

Publicly available IBC roster information includes:

  • Names of all IBC members
  • Committee member roles and areas of expertise
  • Contact information for the: 
    • IBC Chair
    • Biological Safety Officer (BSO)
    • Designated IBC Contact

These measures are intended to promote transparency and public awareness of institutional oversight for research involving recombinant or synthetic nucleic acid molecules and other activities subject to NIH biosafety requirements.
